BodyBugg Goal



Thanks to bodybugg!! - goal is to burn 3200 cal everyday and consume about 2250 cal = 950 cal deficit!

Goal is to get lean increase muscle and lower body fat% to about 10 % massive goal to be achieved by Nov 19th

After a painfully sore week with me still completing my workouts I have decided to go back to the basics, the stuff I can handle and I can keep up with without getting injured.

Reality check




Ok so after day 1 of insanity and p90x I am super sore and slept 3 extra hours - I definitely cant do that everyday - I think I need to come back to earth and change it up p90x on day 1 and insanity day 2. (Maybe later in the future when I am a moose I can do that on the same day but for now ill just stick to one exercise a day)

1. I want to achieve my goal without getting injured.
2. Resting between exercise sessions is mighty important

This is going to be brutal but its about time to step up the game!

RESTART



Hey i am BACK!!

Well I have not blogged in a while I am sure you all have noticed. :P

The one thing I realized over the period I failed to blog is that when I was blogging I was actually keeping up with my workouts - for me this blog is an open journal or maybe a mirror ...idk.... but w.e it is it definitely helped me stay motivated and pressing play.

BODY BUGG + Updates =D



OOOKAY HELLOOO HELLOOO!!

I know I have not updated in a while because I have been really busy just wanted to do a really quick update and share some awesome information.

Being a tech/fitness freak I had to try this. I did make a video of this and hopefully I will update soon.

About P90X update - (I have completely updated and stepped up my game)

Currently I am doing a mix of
P90x - P90+ - and Insanity
Yeah I know killer but I am in love and I am kicking butt!!

I started as a 180 pound guy and in a month I am already 167
Shocked aren't yah!!! I was too.

OOOOOOH and another great news ah this needs a post of its own but I will just summarize it here - I just got the Shakeology packs and OM*G I crave it every day it is just amazing, i dont knwo how i have been living without this - I have been using shakeology as a meal replacement for 10 days now. Mix of shakeology and the beach body workouts = 13 pounds saying bye bye in a month WOW (I did work my butt of though) - But then again the first few pounds are easy to come off and also I was in a lose weight mode

Day 10 - P90X Shoulder & Arms





March 24th - DAY 10 - Shoulder and Arms

I really feel I gained some strength back in my arms and especially shoulders.

I could lift dumbbells instead of using the bans in many of the exercises CRAZY.

Feeling great - don't expect to be sore (I hope not)

BTW something I wanted to mention - this is the first time - when I was doing the ab ripper x - DUDE MY ABS ACTUALLY FELT A CRAMP and i had to stop WHAT never had ab CRAMPS - CRAZY

Waited a while and then finished the workout

no chicken here all beef baby haha :P

As tony says "If you can do this, you can kick the panties of anyone out there" haha :P

oh BTW - the foot felt ok today I guess getting used to it.

If you are way out of shape and doing this forget about it. Do the CARDIO X instead. If you wish to keep up with plyometrics keep that bucket close to you

Fitness Tip - Size vs Tone




SIZE VS TONE


Lot of people out there don't workout because they don't want to gain muscle.

They are wrong don't listen to them!

Lot of people out there think that they can just run the treadmill and lose weight.

They are semi wrong listen to them and read this!

Running - will get you fit but not enough (running will get you a great cardio-vascular health but you still wont be considered fit)

SO YOU NEED SOME KIND OF RESISTANCE WEIGHT BEARING WORKOUT!

Remember - Having muscle = body needs more to function - so more calories it will burn on day to day basis; even if you just sit on your BUTT!!
Every wonder how guys and gals who are fit seem to always keep that "pudge" OF!

Well because frankly they do some kinda resistance workout with their cardio. - OK!

So people who are afraid of lifting weights start lifting them you will see that fat melt of quicker - also - people who do not want to gain muscle mass DO MORE REPS AKA - TONE your muscle

REMEMBER
8 to 10 reps(heavy weight) if you want to gain muscle - SIZE
12 to 16 reps (light to medium weight) if you want to tone your muscle - TONE

Running the treadmill with some resistant work out will help you get your result faster.(also a good diet - will be covered next week in fitness tips so keep up.)

Some benefits of resistance training = Stronger BONES
You know you will need these when you get old - (do you want that slouchy back and lose height when you are older?)

So if you haven't already start working out
(A routine that consists of Resistance training and Cardio-vascular training)

According to the American Council on Sports Medicine
MEN TEND TO GET A HEART DISEASE AT A YOUNGER AGE THAN WOMEN!

Before starting a fitness regiment consult your physician

WEEK 2

Monday - DAY-8 (March 22nd)

WOOHOO - I have started to love Monday's because of "CHEST AND BACK" Love this workout.
Upper body workouts is my thing - sad in a way cause it used to be all lower body workouts before.

Second time doing this workout week 2 - Just a little sore was not bad at all.

Day 5-7 - Bad News



Hi everyone

Hope you guys are doing well and keeping up!

OK - Bad news - I missed my day-5 (March 19th) day-6 (March 20th) and day-7 (March 21st). Well day-7 does not count its the stretch day. I have no excuses but I dint have the time, the soreness was killing me and it was a weekend and I HATE LEG and BACK WORKOUTS THAT ARE DONE IN P90X.

I can keep going :P

I started the Leg and back work out BUT the list of workout is so long OMG! Just looking at it made my legs weak. Did about 2 exercises and I didn't feel like it, maybe it was my diet, I don't know but it was something that just dint click.

Also Kempo X - well day the flew by and no comment.



Stretch X is an optional workout - I will be TAKING THIS DAY OFF every week




Well the past is history now.

P.S-- I will be updating this blog once every week that is - every Wednesday so don't think I "chickened" out :P

Day 4 - P90X




Day 4 18th March

YOGA!!!!

Oh man love this work out (it was too long though so I think I'd rather do the one on one with Tony Horton yoga workout, its only 45 mins) I definitely don't have time for 1:30 mins of yoga no way.

It felt great lots of stretching helped with the soreness.

Yoga is a must exercise and a lot of people don't incorporate this in their workouts. Yoga not only helps with building strength and flexibility it also helps improves balance and reduces work out related injuries.

If you don't already try to add yoga into you workout schedule.

Fitness Tip: Late Night Eating = Weight Gain





At night we are typically less active - So if you eat late at night (which is usually junk food) it leads to weight gain - which eventually gets worse and worse

SO how do we combat this problem of feeling hungry late at night?

1. Spread you eating through out the day - 5- 6 small meals

2. Don't drink alcohol not only does it packs its own calories but also because it tends to increase appetite and usually bad food choice

3 If you have no choice and have to eat late night dinners well then try to make lunch the main meal and dinner a light meal.

4. Eat slowly enjoy your meals (esp that lunch if you have a light dinner)

But what about the late night munchies after dinner?

If you really listen to your body it might not be hungry (after all you had your dinner already)- usually your body is thirsty - fill up a glass of water and enjoy it instead of eating late night junk.

Learn to listen to your body!!!
If you treat it right it will treat you right and take you on a longer and joyful life journey.
